£5 per session per person but your first session is free!
There are small discounts for students that are from the same household (i.e. £9 for two).
No! Just pay on the day.
There are no subscriptions or "multi-session" fees meaning that if you cannot make a session, you don't need to pay.
Just yourself!
Make sure to wear something comfortable to exercise in like your PE kit. You’re not required to commit to a Gi until you are sure you want to continue with your Karate journey.
It might also be worth bringing a water bottle with you to stay hydrated but the venue does have a small kitchen if you forget yours.
The venue is Air Conditioned so neither too hot / cold in Summer / Winter and the floor is heated during the Winter!
There are toilets and a kitchen with basic amenities available should you need them.
The venue has plenty of free parking available. For more information, visit the ‘Find Us’ page or visit the ‘Redhouse Community Centre’ website.
Absolutely!
In fact, we encourage it! There are always some chairs for you to use.
Make sure to bring a coat or jumper as the hall is Air Conditioned and kept at a slightly cooler temperature for those exercising.
From us!
Just ask one of the instructors and they will order the Gi on your behalf from Blitz Sport as we get a trade discount.
Sizes are based on height in steps of 10cm but again, if you are not sure, ask an instructor and we can help.
About £15 - £25 (including VAT and P&P).
As mentioned above, we do not supply the Gis ourselves, we buy them from Blitz Sport at a trade discount, therefore, the prices are not set by us so they may vary. Additionally, the prices vary based on the size of the Gi. As we are non-profit, we will only charge you what we have to pay for the Gi, we don't make a markup. You can always ask an instructor for up-to-date pricing on a specific Gi.
Yes!
We take both cash and card, and our card machine supports contactless.
Your card details are only used to authorise a transaction. We do not store your card details.
Yes:
If you or your child is 8 - 17 y.o., you can join without any prior martial arts training required.
Since we are primarily a child focused karate club, if you or your child are 18+ y.o., you will need to be at least a 3rd Kyu in Karate (or have some other proficient martial arts training at the chief instructors discretion) in order to join. Adults are occasionally expected to be able to teach a small subset of children during part of a session as well as know how to safely use training equipment (such as kick shields and focus pads).
We are not taking on children younger than 8 y.o. at this time.
